I've been thinking about this for a while now. I have a tattoo on my lower back and I absolutely hate it. One of my worst bright ideas ever. I was 16, and thought i'd be cool. 3 years down the line, it's awful.

Do you know anyone who's had laser treatment? How much does it cost? Pain?

I remember someone I knew a long time ago got it down, he had tons of tattoos though. It costs alot from what I remember, he never said much about pain though. Sometimes it doesn't always go away in one sitting though.

Mines only around 3 inches by 1 inch. I just hate it.

Have you tried going to a tattoo artist and seeing about doing a cover up? Basically get a bigger tattoo, with a design you like, to cover the small tattoo up. It'd be cheaper and less painful than laser removal. Also laser removal will require several sessions before the tattoo is no longer visible, and even then there may be a chance you will still be able to faintly see it. It costs hundreds of pounds per session, though obviously the total cost will depend on what the person says.

I just don't want a tattoo full stop on the bottom of my back. It looks cheap and tacky. A guy I work with is going to see about him getting his removed on his arm, i'll see how much his costs, mines a 10th of the size of his.
