Have you seen this doco?

It screens here tonight or tomorrow night, I am going to watch it and plan to get really indignant and have to switch it off halfway through.

What do you think about people treating monkeys as human children? Surely there is more than a small element of animal abuse here, whether intentional or not. These may not be "wild" creatures but they're still animals, with animal instincts and animal behaviours that aren't suited to being transposed human activities on. To be honest it's fucking weird, too.

It's bad enough that people put sweaters on their dogs (or rat-dogs) and keep them in their purses.

I think this woman was on the Tyra show.. how severely messed up this woman is. I think almost ALL parents go through empty nest syndrome. You don't see them going out and getting a monkey to treat like a baby. Not to mention, in 20 years when shes so old she can't even take care of herself, whos gunna wanna take care of a damn monkey. AND I think I remember her saying she can be slightly vicious to some people.. maybe not.. But either way. Therapy, please.

I don't think thats right to treat them like children. They are animals, and they should be free, not keep as a pet, or in this case as a child/baby. This is just wrong and should be a law against it. If they want a kid that badly they should adopt. There are plenty of kids out there who need homes.

That was shown in the UK a few months ago. They're nuts. They even put make-up on the poor thing.
