As a Canadian, I'm truly curious as to who knows what poutine is. It's my favorite. <3

Had no idea what it was til I googled it. So it's basically chips & cheese with gravy? We have it in the chip shops round here.

Although... I did have fries with Gravy one night, and Vinager the next. heheh

Ladies and gentlemen, meet poutine:

It's so, so good! And yes, it is just fries with gravy and cheese on top. YOU GUYS HAVE TO TRY THIS!
And Lindsey, you definitely should have tried poutine when you came to Canada!

I knew exactly what it was

Being 50% Canadian has it's advantages. I was close to trying it. While in Canada, I was at Harvey's, but then I was afraid to try it. I don't like trying new things lol
That looks good! Next time I'm in Canada I'll definitely try it out.

I'm absolutely addicted to them!! Every time I get the chance I turn my fries into poutine. I LOVE it!
My husband is American & we were talking one night & I mentioned them. He asked me what it was & when I told him he said it sounded DISGUSTING, & that putting gravy on fries is nasty. I asked him if he ever tried it & he said no. When he came up to Canada I made him try it & he fell in love with them! now hes experimenting with making them with different cheeses & stuff.

Is putting gravy on fries a weird thing to do in America? It's just the norm here.

Ive never seen it ANYWHERE.
It dosent seem half bad as long as the fries and gravy and potatoes are all hot... I dont see it being so good once they cooled off?

I love seeing cultural differences between countries' foods. I never knew people ate fries with vinegar before I went to Canada!
