My USB containing ALL my school work is broken. The part that you insert into the computer is bend backwards. Is there ANY way I can retrieve the information from it? I don't care what it costs. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE TELL ME GOOD NEWS!

I'd take it to a computer shop. It may cost a bit though.
Wheres Robb when ya need him?

Bend it back into shape. USB interfaces are really rather robust overall.

It's completely broken off now. I'm gonna go to Future Shop/Staples/wherever else and ask them. I don't care how much it costs. I found the exact same brand new USB so I'm hoping they can just switch the chips inside of them.

No, no they can't. They'd have to desolder the chip on yours, and then desolder the chip on the new one, and then resolder your chip onto the new board. There are other ways to do it, but to be blunt, too damn complex for discussion on this forum.

Is it possible to do it though? I've done some research on the internet about it and i've read different answers.

Technically yes it is possible. Is it likely you or your local computer store could do it? No.

I've read that Staples can do it but for $100.00. :/ Oh well, better than nothing...

Story time....
I went to Future Shop. They tried to fix it but couldn't make the two wires inside it connect. They then told me they could send it out to a city about two hours away but it would cost me around $700. So I said fuck that. Then I went to Staples. They didn't even attempt to fix it. They said they could send it away for $274. I said screw it. I rather re-start everything.
The end.

I hate to sound like a teacher, but make sure when you save work (especially super important school work) then always save it in two places. Like on your memory stick, then burn to a CD or on an external hard-drive etc. Can't rely on technology too much!
