i guess this is the best place to post this...

so apparently theres been squirrels living in my attic for a couple weeks. and my dad went down to NJ to visit his gf for a week and ive been hearing scratching in thee walls. and then this morning i woke up to my dad screaming and he woke up with a squirrel sitting on his bed. but he left for work and asked me to get rid of the squirrel. ive tried leaving the back door open for an hour. didnt help. i set up a have-a-heart trap with peanut butter down stairs but hes just hanging out in my kitchen and tearing up all the paper towels.

i need ideassss! and im trying to take a picture cause nobody believes me. does anyone wanna come to CT and help me out?

if he's in a room with a door that you can close, do that and close your self in the room with a bucket and... a towel or blanket or something. then if the room has a window, open it and release him back outside. if it doesn't, go to a room that does (or to an outside door) and release him

ive been hiding in my room all morning. scott said he'd come over and help but he lives 30 min away so i said i could handle it but i cantttt. i called my friend chris who's like my big brother and he's coming over with armor and we're going to go squirrel hunting. i definitely need to take pics of this. mr squirrel tore up ALL the papertowels in my house!

Hopefully your friend can help you get him out of your house, and hopefully he doesnt come back lol. your dad needs to find out where they are getting into the house, or else they will keep coming back.

Ick, squirrels can carry some gross stuff, so try and keep your distance. My step dad told me about how one got into our old 3 decker and it took a day to get it out. They suck.

yeh its pretty hilarious, but yesterday especially i was scared outta my mind. i was screaming on the phone to scott as it was bouncing from counter to counter in my kitchen. hahaha. and i never scream.

so update; yeh the squirrel still has my father and i hostage in our own house... chris and i were unsuccessful in our capture. we've set up a bunch of have-a-heart traps though and we shut every single door in the house so we can find the location of his power. i think theres a hole in my attic and from there he went down the walls because we've been renovating a couple rooms and theres holes in the walls from that. but anyways. its a given me, my dad, and my friends hours of amusement searching for this squirrel.






the only thing is i cant stop sneezing... i think im allergic to it...

oh god.
that sucks. you guys should call someone.
they did that once when we had a raccoon in my attic.

To add to this.. I either have a squirrel or cat problem. Its upstairs on the 3rd floor hallway. (nobody goes up there / uses it.) and for the past few days when I leave in the morning whatever it is bollllts up the stairs. I even try to warn it by flashing the lights before I go out there. I get scared because I dont want it to jump down on my head haha.

Me and Karen will genetically mutate the squirrel so that we can milk it, and since it will be filled with milk, he'll have to stop running around and let us milk him. haha


Haha but seriously, if it's in a specific room, put boards up at all the exits to that room and trap him that way. then just sit there with a laundry basket and wait until he comes out and near you, then throw the laundry basket over him lol.

lol i had completely forgotten about this thread. yeah, i got the squirrel out... well my dad did rather. he eventually smelled the peanut butter in the trap and we caught him. my dad drove him like 20 minutes away and let him go to ensure he wont come back.

haha i feel bad for mr. squirrel... hes gotten taken away from his kids and wife! but anyways, thanks for all your laughs. it was pretty hilarious
