Who plays soccer? I am an attacking midfielder. No other sport matters.

Soccer is the great sport ever. Only true athletes can play soccer! I am going to play soccer in college.

I love soccer! I don't know if i would call in the best ever but it's up there! I love it, I play all over the field, front line, wings and center, mid field, and a little D.

I miss soccer so bad because i havent been able to play in 3 years because of basketball and track but im trying to start playing again.

I was the front line and midfield... i wasnt too shabby either.

Track is just about being fast. You don't need any skills. I don't really understand basketball, so I can say anything about that. But no other sport but soccer is 45 minutes, no timeouts, no resting.

Swimming.

There is a LOT more to track than just being fast. Have you ever been on a track team?Track isn't only about being fast, you don't have to be fast at all to be on a track team casue it NOT all about running! you also have jumping and throwing events and it take a lot of work to get really good at them. Also unlike most spots you have like 10 diffrent things going on all at once and if you miss one of your 4 events you CAN'T make it up. So your at your jumping event and you have to sign out of there go to your running even, run, go back to you jumping even but then you other jumping event gets called so you have to go check in there...yeah you get my point. It's a lot more than just being fast and running.

On the first day of training I was told that if 50% of the crowd doesn't like my calls, I'm doing great.

You have a lot more sympathy for refs after you are one...

i played for 12 years before the birth of my son. i was left forward most years. i love soccer and its by far my favorite sport. but i also play volleyball and i do dance and im a cheerleader.

i love playing soccer too but i play goalie.

does anyone play on any travel teams? like ones that go out of state for tournaments regularly? because i do and i was wondering if anyone else did..maybe Ive played your team haha.

i absolutely love soccer....im a sports freak but soccer is one of my top sports...i havent had a chance to play in awhile but when i was playing i played stricker (or forward)....ive also coached a soccer team before it was so awesome and a great experience but yeah soccers the best!!!

coming from scotland, ive played soccer since i was 6, its my alltime fav sport, but now that ive moved to canada i dont play anymore , the nearest team is 45 mins away, with practises twice a week so i just cant do it, i play with the school team though, and this year i got to play high school and middle years, coz the hs team was short of players, it was SO much fun! im goalie & forward, but on the high school team i had to play midfield, which meant A LOT of running (not so good coz i was really outta shape )

soccer is deffinitly one of the best sports, the other is no doubt figure skating... theres just not as much work in other sports

I used to play soccer like everyone else when I was a little kid. I was a dirty player too, scoring tons of points. I'm not a fan of watching soccer at all, but me and a bunch of friends went to the Revs game tonight...good time...but soccer is boring to watch and it was 0-0 and I think they ended up tying in overtime.

I play for the hell of it when my friends are.


But I'm not on a team or anything. My best friend's a soccer freak
He's bombbb though. & I know our JV and Varsity teams now thanks to him.

I never understood soccer, and never cared for it until I met my current boyfriend. he is the captian of our school's soccer team and plays in 3 other competitive leagues, so I had to learn to like it. now, I am crazy about it. soccer players are some of the only true athletes, the game is sooo physical and so quick they really have to be strong and quick to meet all of the demands. the game is soo exciting, I am always on the edge of my seat. there is a huge rivalry between the soccer players and football players at my school, and I definitely side with the soccer players. all the football players would call the soccer players pansies, yeah right! they tackle and run into eachother just as much in soccer, running full speed, without any padding! there aren't 10000 time outs in soccer either, 45 mintues straight through. I love that game.

i love soccer too, i play at the community college i go to right now,since we dont have womans hockey. I am usually a center forward or center middy. always a starter though

Also love Craig Gordon, but i guarantee hardly any of you will have heard of him, but he is the best goal-keeper ever and love of my life - I'm totally obsessed lol, have met him loads of times and spoken to him on the phone and got a kiss off him best day ever

i played soccer for 11 years. my last game was last sunday. its very sad i dont play anymore. i do still watch MLS though. i love Red Bull New York!

the atmosphere, even if its just a scottish division 3 match on a rainy saturday, is great.

For the sake of this post I'm going to call it football since I'm from Scotland.

I don't play football but strongy follow it.

My favourite player for my team is a midfielder - plays on the left wing.

My all time favourite player is a goalkeeper though =).

He left my team for a large sum of money so I was pretty gutted but now he's in the best League in the world =).

is any one from houston cuz the dyanmos i think they are pretty good brian ching and dwayne deRosario are really good well at leasst thats what i think ............but christiano ronaldo is really good also

basketball & softball <-- play a real sport please.

Soccer is FUN. And it does not "suck ass". I'm sort of the clumsy kind of girl, so most people would not think of me as someone that would play this sport. But I'm rather good if I do say so myself. I'm going to start playing for my school in the spring. I can't wait!

soccer is totally awesome i play defense and I'm really vicious so when u hurt me u can expect 2 b hurt back lol I'm not mean in real life but once i get on the field its totally game time!!!!!!!!

i play soccer. its the best sport out there. in the fall i play on my high school team which practices mondays-fridays, unless we have a game which is like twice a week and in the spring i play for a travel team its its not like and out of state travel team. we only go places that are kind of close to us but i also help with my sisters team and my friends dads team. i lovethe game. i play pretty much everywhere on the field, goalie, defense, mid, striker, everywhere. and i also ref. its a great sport to play. sometimes watching it bores me but you have to be really fit in order to play.

and yeahh soccer is way more of a sport then softball. all you need for softball is a little bit of speed and power. you stand at the plate and hit a ball then run around four little bases. soccer is way more intense. you need speed, agility, strength, everything. you can't slack on the field. the only postions i consider in softball difficult are catcher and pitcher but only in fast pitch.

Soccer ! My game of choice. Goal keeper here. But we always keep a set of Bocce balls at the side lines so the teams can socialize
at something less competitive to get to know the girls of the other teams. I don't follow the game on the international level but
just enjoy playing.

^agreed. ^^you probably play softball because you can't handle the rigorus body contact soccer involves, and basketball because you're tall.
