It's a forum with thousands of members, I don't know what the perecentage is with females (10% of the male population is apparently homosexual) but given the odds I'd say we have a number of lesbians here.

Actually most gay guys you would never be able to tell they are gay. The ones you are talking about are the less common type of homosexual, they long to be a woman so they act like they do. But yea I don't think lesbians are out as much, but I dont know why.

Im just saying this because ive only seen gay people on TV (which may not even be true considering most of them are actors) but there S's and T's sound alot dif. from a mans voice(usualli much lower) and they walk differently.Is this in real life too?

Nope, I slouch, I have my hands in my pockets, crossed, or playing with a knife and zippo. I wear baggy clothes that are usually motorcycle oriented. Black and blue is usually all I ever where. I have deplorable manners. I burp and spit in public. But I do where this one studded bracelet with pink stars on it. That is the gayest I usually am. I would were nice cloths and actually care about how I look, but it costs money. I do have actually a very good fashion taste. But it costs money. I also talk like any other guy. Cuss a lot, joke with friends. But I do have a nasty stutter and lisp.

Unless you count flannel as stereotypical, you really can't tell if a person is gay or not. Unless you stalk them when they go clubbing, and then you can tell, cause they would obviously go to a gay bar.

A quick note to you guys and gals: Do not confuse homosexuals with transsexuals. Transsexuals are those who identify themselves as the opposite sex not gay people. I’ve seen my share or both gays and lesbians who very much walk the transsexual line but it is not a “gay” characteristic but rather a transsexual one. Most real gays and lesbians act very much like any typical person, with nothing separating them from the “norm” other than their orientation. Most of the gay people I know you wouldn’t even be the wiser if they did not tell you outright. The men don’t act feminine and the women don’t act masculine. Society tends to merge transsexuality with homosexuality into one big group that leads to stereotyping, much like you see on T.V. everyday.

Ok enough dissing my therapist. It is actually pretty fun to be able to talk about myself for like an hour and no one complains.

Very true, I know many people complain about them but there are some very good ones out there that can actually help an individual. Sometimes we all just need an outlet and someone who will just listen. It can be very taxing on a person’s emotional well being to sit there and listen to people all day and try to help them with their problems. I applaud many of them, as it is no doubt a very emotionally draining occupation. On the flip side, there are many bad ones as well, and unfortunately too many of us have had bad experiences with such individuals that end up souring us to therapists as a whole. I too have been there and have had inappropriate comments made to me by a social worker. It took me months to tell anyone and when I finally did (to another social worker type of all people) she not only helped me deal with that but got a team of how many others behind me and literally got the other woman in deep “dog doo doo” if you get my drift. I was awestruck that they would do such a thing for me, but it just proved to me that not all therapists and such are “evil”.

Yea mine is really nice. She deals pretty much mainly with teens. S yea she is really nice to talk to and understand. And accourding to her she is amazed I am sane.

All people are equal, right? And if America is the "Land of the Free" (although there are gay people everywhere), I see absolutely no problem with gay marriages. You can't help who you love.

Land of the free. It means as an american you have the freedom to mary who you want and be whatever sexuality you want. But with all this discrimentation that phrase is slowly becoming null and void.
