 Acer laptop charging issue |

So recently I have been having problems with my laptop. It stopped charging one day and the front just flashed an orange light saying it wasn't charging. So we took the battery out and then powered it on with just the ac adapter. It worked. We concluded it must be the battery then. So we ordered a new battery for it. When we got the new battery that didn't fix the problem at all. It still just flashes orange at me like it isn't recognizing that it is charging. What could be the problem? I am so frustrated. I just wanna have my laptop back and I don't know what is going on with it not charging properly.
Anyone have any ideas? |

The connections to the battery are likely the issue.
