My boyfriend turns 20 in just under 3 weeks, and I'm thinking of making him a cake. BUT, it can't be a cake... because he doesn't really like cake (something to do with the spongey texture, idk he's weird haha). So I want to make him an alternative birthday cake, but have no clue what to do?
ANY ideas appreciated! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

A Trifle?
http://allrecipes.com/Search/Recipes.aspx?WithTerm=trifle -Brownies (there's a ton of recipes on that same site. Going for plain old box brownies is being a cheapskate imo.) -Cookies -Make homemade ice cream |

For a graduation party my mom and I planned, we made a sandwich cake. It was amazing. The frosting was cream cheese and it had layers of bread, meat, cheese, and you can put whatever his favorite sandwich toppings are inside of it. It looks exactly like a cake, everyone will be surprised when you slice into it! I cannot remember where we found the recipe, but I'm sure if you search around, you'll find one that fits your skill in cooking and his taste in food.

Damn how did I forget Tiramisu, haha. Make Crème brûlée! You get to play with a mini blow torch. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
or Mini Lava cakes. Yeah it's cake but it's not as spongy as regular cake. |

Thanks for the suggestions, girls. Brownies and cookies are a good idea! Can't believe I didn't think of them hah. I'm properly in love with Crème Brûlée but I don't think he'd be too stuck on it.
Might make coloured ones too, just to freak him out a little haha. |

pie or an ice cream cake. some sort of pudding? you can find a bunch of different types of dessert on Food Network's website.
OH! fudge is pretty easy to make too. Baked alaska (you can use a brownie on the bottom instead of cake), a fruit pizza. |
