For what it's worth a vasectomy is a lot easier to get reversed than a woman getting her tubes tied - so IMO if a couple ever thinks they don't want more kids but thinks they may change their mind - I think the guy should get the ole snip snip

It's more of a "clip" than a "snip" which is why it can be reversed. Of course I've heard about guys who've had vasectomies and have still got a girl pregnant.

Yup, that's possible.
I think I read somewhere once that some scientists recommend young men to have some of their sperm frozen if they ever want to have children, then have a vasectomy... Sadly that leaves it open to laboratory mix-ups! |

But at the same time I actually know about 10 girls who have gotten pregnant while they had their tubes tied or had the ends burned. Just goes to show that no matter what you have "done" protection is ALWAYS a good idea. |

I've been pregnant. 3 times. my longest pregnancy lasted 10 weeks.
Judge all you like its already all happened. All from protected sex too. The first ten weeks of pregnancy is hell. Throwing up, constant period pain althoguh your nto having yoru period, feeling rough, your boobs are constantly killing you, your always so bloody hot even though your drinking ice cold water. You ache like hell. And thats if you have BAD morning sickness. Its not cool. Its not a game. Its a babies life. Don't *beep* around with that. I wasn't being irresponsible. I for medical reasons cannto take the pill, go on the injection or patch so condoms it is. But believe me being pregnant even in the first ten weeks is physically one of the hardest things you will ever do. |

But believe me being pregnant even in the first ten weeks is physically one of the hardest things you will ever do. Hate to even say this - but just remember that's not the experience for ALL people. My entire pregnancy was a breeze. I didn't have any achy boobs, was never hot like that, and never even had morning sickness (IMG:http://www.aimgirl.com/talk/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . And why can't you be on those things? Can't you use condoms/spermcide? The only things all those BCs have in common are the hormones, and those are already naturally in your body so I'm not understanding why you couldn't take any of them, or at least use one with low hormone levels. |

A lot of the girls I was in primary school (school before highschool) with have kids now, and I know two people in my circele if friends who do too. Some people have ad reactions to contraception, I got horrible chest pains from the Pill, so I took myself off it and was on Depo-provera instead. I would see it more as an unfortunate accident than an accessory.
Are you sure you can't go on any of these? There are different brands of the Pill. Is it an allergy? |

I have a heart condition the pill is proved unsafe and they are very reluctant to put me on anything hormonal as they work in the same sort of way as the pill and so it increases my risk of heart attacks and clotting alot.
And i did say i DO use condoms (IMG:http://www.aimgirl.com/talk/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

LOL just saying because you're like me - you're really fertile! (IMG:http://www.aimgirl.com/talk/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Studies have shown that oestrogen does increase your chances of blood clots etc. Condoms are pretty reliable though, did the split or something?

That is awful. Getting pregnant at 13 and 14 isn't cool. It just goes to show how irresponsible some people may be. Having a baby should be a joyful experience, and shouldn't happen until you are married.

Well marriage doesn't really matter at all. I would instead say it should happen when you are in a stable and loving relationship, with a sufficient income and old enough to handle the responsibility. If you have all of those, a piece of paper means very little.

You guys are right, love is the main thing. And the little piece of paper doesn't really mean anything, if you have love.
